Solita is looking for a Senior Data Engineer & Databricks Specialist in Belgium. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering and consulting, with hands-on experience in Databricks and Apache Spark. This role involves designing data pipelines, leading projects, and mentoring teams. Flexibility in working arrangements is provided, along with benefits like comprehensive health insurance and modern work tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering and 5+ years in consulting roles.
• Proven track record delivering 2-3 Databricks projects end-to-end.
• Deep hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Familiarity with multi-hop pipeline architecture in Databricks.
• Experience with big data engines like Spark, Hadoop, Flink and Presto.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala as a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and their data services.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, and English.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement multi-hop pipeline architectures using Databricks Lakehouse.
• Optimize Apache Spark workloads for performance and scalability.
• Build robust ETL pipelines and data models using SQL and/or Python and Scala.
• Deliver production-grade solutions across multiple projects leveraging Databricks.
• Lead client workshops to understand business needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
• Share expertise with internal teams and clients.
• Develop reusable frameworks and documentation.
