adesso Belgium is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer to design and build modern data platforms based on the Lakehouse paradigm, using Azure Databricks and the broader Azure data ecosystem. You will join our growing Data & AI team in Belgium, collaborating with colleagues across Europe to deliver scalable data solutions.
You will design robust pipelines, govern data, contribute to CI/CD, and help shape the practice with reporting to Power BI and analytics teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years with Databricks & Spark on Azure
- Strong Python/PySpark for data engineering
- Excellent SQL and data modeling knowledge
- Experience with Azure Data Lake / Data Factory
- Familiarity with CI/CD & infrastructure-as-code
- Understanding of data governance and security
Responsabilités
- Design Lakehouse architectures on Databricks
- Build robust data pipelines with PySpark/Spark SQL
- Model data for analytics use cases
- Ingest data from APIs/files/databases into lakehouses
- Implement data governance practices (RBAC, masking, lineage)
- Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers and engineers
- Set up CI/CD for Databricks assets and monitor pipelines
- Share knowledge within Data & AI community in Belgium
