Solita is looking for a Senior Data Engineer & Databricks Specialist in Belgium. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering and consulting, with hands-on experience in Databricks and Apache Spark. This role involves designing data pipelines, leading projects, and mentoring teams. Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering and 5+ years in consulting roles.
• Proven track record delivering 2-3 Databricks projects end-to-end.
• Deep hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.
• Familiarity with multi-hop pipeline architecture in Databricks.
• Experience with big data engines like Spark, Hadoop, Flink and Presto.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala as a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and their data services.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, and English.

Senior Data Engineer & Databricks Specialist – Belgium

Key Responsibilities

Databricks Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement multi‑hop pipeline architectures using Databricks Lakehouse.
• Optimize Apache Spark workloads for performance and scalability.

Data Engineering & Development

• Build robust ETL pipelines and data models using SQL and/or Python and Scala.
• Deliver production‑grade solutions across multiple projects leveraging Databricks.

Consulting & Advisory

• Lead client workshops to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring best practices and successful delivery.

Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship

• Share expertise with internal teams and clients, fostering adoption of Databricks best practices.
• Develop reusable frameworks and documentation for future projects.
