Church International Limited is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Expert for a freelance engagement in Belgium from 1 September 2026 to 31 December 2026. The role requires fluent English and either French or Dutch, plus strong GDPR expertise to support governance, risk, and compliance across business and technology teams.

You will conduct DPIAs, document privacy risks, advise on AI regulation initiatives, and help implement data protection measures.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Privacy, GDPR, Risk, Compliance, Audit or Data Governance.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles.
• Experience with DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Banking/financial services experience is an advantage.
• Experience with AI, analytics or data governance is desirable.
• DPO/GDPR certification is an advantage.
• Fluent in French OR Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

• Identify and document data privacy risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Provide GDPR and data privacy advice to business and technical stakeholders.
• Support Data Subject Rights requests and personal data breach management.
• Provide privacy support for AI Regulation and AI-related initiatives.
• Develop privacy processes, documentation, templates and training materials.
• Support Data Governance and Analytics & AI processes.
• Deliver privacy awareness and training.
• Work with business, legal, compliance, security and technology teams.
• Handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
