Qualifications

Financial Security Data Product Lead (Freelance/Consultancy)

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Financial Security Data Product Lead to join a strategic transformation within the banking sector. This is a unique opportunity for a senior professional who combines expertise in Data Governance, Product Ownership and Financial Security (KYC/AML) with strong stakeholder management skills.

Location

• Brussels, Belgium
• Hybrid working model (approximately 50% on-site / 50% remote)

Contract

• Start: Beginning mid-August 2026
• Initial contract until 31/12/2026
• Extension is expected

Your role

As Financial Security Data Product Lead, you will define and drive the strategic vision of the Financial Security Data Product, supporting KYC, AML, Sanctions and Embargo processes across the organization. You will act as the bridge between Business, Data, IT, Risk and Compliance, ensuring high-quality, scalable and reusable data products while leading the product roadmap in an Agile environment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Managing the product backlog and translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Leading Agile product delivery together with Data and IT teams.
• Driving data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Managing senior stakeholders across multiple business domains.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance while enabling data-driven decision making.
• Promoting continuous improvement and adoption of the Financial Security Data Product.

Required experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience with:
• Data Products
• Data Governance
• Data Modelling
• Agile Product Ownership
• Business Analysis
• Data Quality Management
• Enterprise Data Platforms
• Strong understanding of SQL and data concepts.
• Solid experience within Financial Security, including:
• -KYC
• -AML
• -Sanctions & Embargo
• Experience in the banking sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.

Experience with Azure Data Platform, Data Mesh, Power BI, Metadata Management or Master Data Management is considered a strong asset.

Languages:

Fluency in Dutch, French and English is mandatory.

Only candidates with professional working proficiency in all three languages will be considered.
