ictjob.be is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to help build and scale a modern data ecosystem for a leading healthcare organization in Belgium. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data lake/warehouse solutions, while mentoring teams and shaping the data roadmap.
The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python, and expertise with Spark/Hive, Azure/AWS, and Microsoft Fabric/Synapse.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong SQL and Python expertise.
- Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures.
- Understanding of Data Quality, CI/CD and DevOps principles for data platforms.
- English proficiency is mandatory.
- Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset.
Responsabilités
- Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrations.
- Developing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions.
- Implementing data quality, monitoring and observability practices.
- Supporting BI, Analytics and Data Science teams with trusted datasets.
- Driving data engineering standards, best practices and architecture decisions.
- Coaching and mentoring teams while contributing to the long-term data roadmap.
