ictjob.be is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to help build and scale a modern data ecosystem for a leading healthcare organization in Belgium. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data lake/warehouse solutions, while mentoring teams and shaping the data roadmap.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python, and expertise with Spark/Hive, Azure/AWS, and Microsoft Fabric/Synapse.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL and Python expertise.
• Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures.
• Understanding of Data Quality, CI/CD and DevOps principles for data platforms.
• English proficiency is mandatory.
• Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset.

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to help build and scale a modern data ecosystem for one of Belgium's leading healthcare organizations.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrations
• Developing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions
• Implementing data quality, monitoring and observability practices
• Supporting BI, Analytics and Data Science teams with trusted datasets
• Driving data engineering standards, best practices and architecture decisions
• Coaching and mentoring teams while contributing to the long-term data roadmap

What we're looking for
