Job summary

Everience seeks an experienced Data Engineer to join its collaborative Data & Digital team and build practical data solutions with real business impact.

You'll design data pipelines, work with SQL Server and Azure services, and apply Python in a Databricks environment, helping turn needs into reusable solutions while ensuring data quality. The role is in an Agile setting with ongoing learning and exposure to modern tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong experience in at least 2 of: SQL Server, Azure Databricks and/or Azure Data Factory, Python for data pipelines.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or related technical field.
• Fluent English and French or Dutch or German is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and data processing solutions.
• Work with SQL Server and Azure data services.
• Build and improve data solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Stream Analytics / Log Analytics and Azure DevOps.
• Develop data pipelines and data enrichments using Python in a Databricks environment.
• Improve data quality and contribute to data modelling, lineage, glossary and governance.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate needs into reusable solutions.
• Challenge requirements when needed and bring technical perspective to discussions.
• Test solutions thoroughly and follow good DevOps practices.
• Keep documentation clear and up to date.
• Share ideas and best practices with the team.
• Stay curious and learn new technologies when needed.
