Glocomms seeks an experienced Data Engineering & BI Contractor to deliver integrated data solutions for portfolio planning, resource forecasting, and business reporting. You will design Snowflake data models, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and develop dashboards in Tableau and Power BI, working closely with business, IT, and data teams.

The role combines data engineering, BI development, and stakeholder engagement to ensure governed, scalable data solutions and trusted insights across the organization.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering & BI Contractor to deliver integrated, governed data solutions that support portfolio planning, resource forecasting, and business reporting.

This role combines data engineering, BI development, and business partnering, acting as the bridge between business, data, and IT teams. The successful candidate will build scalable data solutions, resolve cross-system data issues, and translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.

Location: Beerse - 1 day per week

Languages: English, Dutch (nice to have)

Start Date: October 1st

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Snowflake L3 data models
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Integrate enterprise data sources, including Demand, Supply, Actuals, and Resource Allocation
• Ensure data consistency, governance, and traceability across systems
• Identify and resolve data quality and reconciliation issues

BI & Analytics

• Develop reporting solutions in Tableau and Power BI
• Build scalable datasets, dashboards, and analytical models
• Deliver trusted, business-ready reporting and insights
• Support migration from legacy processes to Snowflake-based architecture

Business & Stakeholder Engagement

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Document data flows, transformations, and business rules
• Partner with business, IT, and data teams to solve complex problems
• Challenge existing data models and improve reporting capabilities

AI & Advanced Analytics

• Identify practical AI and forecasting opportunities
• Support scenario modelling, trend analysis, and planning improvements
• Translate business needs into realistic AI-driven solutions

Required Experience

Technical Skills

• Advanced Snowflake experience (data modelling and optimisation)
• Power BI reporting and data modelling

Business Knowledge

• Portfolio planning and resource forecasting
• Financial and FTE-based planning
• Experience with Planisware, SAP/financial data environments preferred
