GCS Recruitment is seeking a senior, hands-on Freelance Data Architect to design enterprise data architecture for a large multinational headquartered in Brussels. The role bridges Business and IT, enabling architecture discussions with senior stakeholders and hands-on PoC work in Snowflake or Databricks.

Requirements include expertise in Informatica, Kimball dimensional modelling, and Data Vault, plus strong stakeholder management. Hybrid work with two days in Brussels and remaining remote.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Informatica or an equivalent enterprise ETL/ELT platform.
• Strong expertise in Kimball (dimensional modelling) and Data Vault methodologies.
• Working knowledge of a modern cloud data platform - Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks - is a strong plus.
• A proven track record of delivering within large, complex organisations.
• A mature, proactive working style with strong ownership of outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and the political awareness to navigate a corporate environment; comfortable operating autonomously while keeping stakeholders aligned.

Responsabilités

• Architecture & Strategy - Design, steer, and implement data architecture tailored to a large-scale multinational structure.
• Stakeholder Management - Gather requirements from Business and IT stakeholders and build networks across IT departments.
• Corporate Navigation - Proactively manage internal dynamics, drive alignment, and build consensus through strong communication.
• Hands-on Validation - Independently build and execute small PoCs within existing toolsets to validate architectural decisions.
