Verhaert Digital in Belgium is seeking a Data Architect to collaborate with cross-functional project teams, translating client data needs into technical requirements and connecting business stakeholders with development teams.

The role balances solution architecture and hands-on delivery, with about 50% of the time designing end-to-end data architectures and 50% building and implementing those solutions, with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency with Azure and AWS; strong SQL, Python, and PySpark skills.

Responsabilités

• Translate client requirements into ERDs, specs, and reporting frameworks through workshops and on-site client collaboration.
• Architect data solutions with Data Lakehouses, Data Mesh, ETL pipelines, event streaming, and IoT.
• Hands-on build and scale data platforms with project delivery teams.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance while guiding clients during transformation.
• Drive digital innovation and support go-to-market as a trusted client advisor.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across designers, developers, and business analysts.
