Agilytic is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to lead end-to-end data and AI platform design. You will shape architecture, set up production environments in AWS/Azure/GCP, and guide mid-level engineers while collaborating with client tech leads and the Practice Director.

The role emphasizes production readiness and delivering high-impact platforms. You will work in a hybrid model with frequent client engagements, shaping guardrails, data governance, and secure, scalable data pipelines

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative discipline and at least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or platform engineering.
• 7–8 years and has already played the senior technical reference role on real client engagements.
• Experience with a major cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP; strong data stack skills including SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of data and AI platforms for clients: ingestion, storage, transformation, orchestration, serving, observability, and security.
• Set up and harden production environments on cloud stacks (AWS, Azure, GCP) with Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, dbt, Airflow.
• Design and implement the AI Platform layer: model serving, feature stores, RAG pipelines, vector stores, evaluation and monitoring, cost and latency controls, LLM guardrails.
• Provide senior technical support across engagements: code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, mentoring juniors.
• Coach the team; raise engineering bar through pairing, write-ups, sessions, and standards.
• Engage with client tech leads, architects, and CTOs; translate business intent into technical design.
• Contribute to proposals and scoping discussions when senior credibility is needed.
• Shape our data and AI platform viewpoints and feed back into offerings.
