Job summary

Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, seeks a Cost Estimation & Risk specialist to support CAPEX estimation and risk management for major gas and nuclear projects. You will engage with multidisciplinary teams and ensure robust, well-documented estimates aligned with internal guidelines.

With a master’s degree and ~5 years of relevant experience, you’ll apply probabilistic methods and continuously improve estimation processes. Hybrid work is available; international projects and mobility are common.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in science, industrial engineering or civil engineering.
• About five years of experience in cost estimation, tendering, risk management or major projects.
• Experience in gas, nuclear or EPC/EPCM environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management, planning, cost control and risk management.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel; ASPEN Economic Evaluation; Power BI; MS Project; @Risk.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CAPEX estimate reports per internal standards and AACE guidelines.
• Structure and maintain risk registers for large industrial projects.
• Review estimates with stakeholders to ensure consistency of quantities and costs.
• Quantify contingencies and risk provisions using probabilistic methods.
• Draft estimate plans, methodology notes and related materials.
• Respond to client questions with clear clarifications on methods and assumptions.
• Share best practices in cost estimation and risk management with teams.
• Contribute to process/tool improvement for estimation and risk management.
