Job summary

BESIX Group seeks a Cost Assurance Analyst to join the ROCO Cost Assurance team on the Oosterweel Link project in Belgium. You will ensure transparency, compliance, and market conformity of reimbursable costs under NEC4 contracts, proactively addressing issues with the Client and internal teams.

The role emphasizes strong Excel/data analysis, a proactive and structured approach, and collaboration across Procurement and Cost Control to support informed project decisions.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar cost-control or assurance role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and large-scale data analysis.
• Solution-oriented, proactive and able to follow up on issues until resolved.
• Structured, project-based work style with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Fluent in Dutch; ability to communicate professionally in English as well.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and insights on reimbursable costs for NEC4 contracts.
• Review and verify supporting documentation for reimbursable costs and follow up on missing records.
• Monitor and coordinate client audits and address related questions within the organization.
• Engage with the client on cost justifications and collaborate to find solutions.
• Develop and optimize procedures and reporting with Procurement and Cost Control teams.
• Represent Cost Assurance within the project area and ensure cost considerations are integrated into decisions.

About the Project

Together with leading partners from the Belgian construction sector, BESIX is contributing to one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Belgium: the Oosterweel Link – ROCO Project.

On the Right Bank of Antwerp, we are delivering, among other works, the new Canal Tunnels, deepening sections of the Antwerp Ring Road, and helping create more space for a greener, safer, and future-oriented urban environment.

The ROCO Cost Assurance team is expanding and is therefore looking for several Cost Assurance Analysts.

Your mission will be based either within one of the project areas or within the central organization. You will help ensure the transparency, compliance, and market conformity of reimbursable costs within the NEC4 contract (New Engineering Contract). You are proactive in addressing issues and follow up on open points until they are effectively resolved. Together with the Client, we place a strong focus on technology, making the data analyses you perform particularly interesting and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and insights regarding reimbursable costs and translate these findings into concrete actions.
• Review and verify supporting documentation for reimbursable costs and actively follow up on any missing or incomplete records.
• Monitor and coordinate audits carried out by the Client, ensuring that related questions are addressed within the organization.
• Engage with the Client regarding comments, observations, or rejected costs and work collaboratively to find solutions.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of procedures and reporting processes in close cooperation with Procurement and Cost Control teams.
• Act as a representative of the Cost Assurance function, building bridges between teams and stakeholders. Within your assigned project area, you will support the Cost Assurance SPOC and ensure that Cost Assurance considerations are consistently integrated into decision-making and project execution.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the NEC4 contract and its practical application within the project.

Qualifications

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification through experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role is required.
• You have strong analytical skills, are proficient in Excel and large-scale data analysis, and communicate professionally.
• You are solution-oriented, proactive, and follow up on issues until they are fully resolved.
• You can work in a structured and project-based manner, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are fluent in Dutch.
• You have an interest in the Oosterweel Link project. Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure works is an asset, but not a requirement.
