Job summary

Deloitte Belgium is seeking an Expert Consultant to grow the Center of Excellence in Treasury Advisory Services. You will advise on treasury policies, assess client functions, and implement optimization strategies for liquidity and funding.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in economics or finance, with 5–7 years in Treasury Consulting, and excellent English plus Dutch or French communication skills. Hybrid work offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics or finance.
• 5–7 years of experience in Treasury Consulting or corporate treasury.
• Strong understanding of treasury management principles: cash & liquidity management, risk management, funding strategies.
• Experience advising on treasury policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and team in English and Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Advise on global treasury policies, procedures, and governance frameworks aligning with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Assess clients’ treasury functions including cash management, liquidity planning, funding, and risk management; develop strategies to optimize working capital and cash flow forecasting.
• Support clients in identifying and mitigating financial risks (interest rate, FX, counterparty risks).
• Prepare clear reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Design and implement new treasury organizational structures and operational processes.
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in treasury management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity planning, funding, and risk management. And develop strategies to optimize working capital, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management.
• Support clients in identifying and mitigating financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and counterparty risks.
• Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Design and implement the new treasury organizational structures and operational processes.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in treasury management.
