Keysight is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to contribute to the development of next‑generation computational electromagnetic solvers that power its simulation portfolio. You will work on finite element methods (FEM), method of moments (MoM), FDTD, sparse matrix solvers, meshing technologies, eigenvalue analysis, and high‑performance parallel computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) are preferred.
• Strong experience in computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic simulation, or numerical modeling.
• Experience with one or more commercial EM simulation environments including ADS, EMPro, HFSS, CST, COMSOL, or similar tools.
• Strong software and automation skills using Python and/or C++.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsabilités

• Extend computational EM capabilities across Keysight simulation products.
• Improve EM-circuit-system co-simulation workflows.
• Develop methodologies for advanced packaging, RF/microwave systems, and quantum technologies.
• Create scalable simulation approaches that leverage modern HPC architectures.
• Translate emerging customer requirements into reusable EDA capabilities.
• Define and develop new simulation capabilities with existing EDA product teams.
• Develop and validate advanced computational electromagnetic workflows for challenging multi-scale problems.
• Collaborate with software engineering to produce production-quality solutions.
• Apply computational EM techniques to quantum technologies, superconducting devices, and cryogenic systems.
• Create validated workflows demonstrating end-to-end design methodologies.
