Keysight Technologies in Belgium seeks an intern to join our R&D team, developing simulation and design solutions for emerging quantum technologies. You will work on EM workflows, microwave circuit design, and scientific software under experienced engineers.

The role emphasizes quick learning, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration within an Agile environment, across multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to documentation and validated results while gaining exposure to leading EDA

Formación

• Pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science.
• Graduate coursework or project experience in computational electromagnetics, EM simulation, or RF/microwave engineering.
• Experience modeling EM structures or microwave circuits using one or more simulation environments such as ADS, HFSS, CST, COMSOL, or Sonnet.
• Working knowledge of EM field theory and numerical methods (FEM/MoM/FDTD) and related concepts.
• Experience using Python for scientific computing, data analysis, or automation.
• Ability to formulate problems, evaluate results, and document conclusions with validation.
• Ability to collaborate in a multi-site, multidisciplinary, and Agile team environment.
• Desire to apply EM to superconducting circuits, quantum processors, resonators, or cryogenic systems (desired).

Responsabilidades

• Develop computational EM workflows that connect layout, electromagnetic simulation, microwave circuit simulation, and system-level analysis using industry tools.
• Apply graduate-level EM theory to modeling challenges involving Maxwell's equations, meshing, boundary conditions, eigenmodes, or multi-scale structures.
• Evaluate simulation accuracy by comparing results with analytical models, published results, or measured data.
• Collaborate with EM, quantum, RF/microwave, circuit simulation, and software teams to translate ideas into reusable capabilities.
• Produce technical documentation, validation examples, and presentations communicating methods and results.
