ING seeks a seasoned COBOL/Mainframe Engineer to join the Customer Data & Onboarding domain in Brussels. You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe COBOL applications for onboarding, lifecycle management, data processing, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with analysts, architects, DevOps, and platform teams.

With 7+ years in COBOL/Mainframe engineering and banking experience, you will drive reliability, security, and audit compliance, participate in modernization efforts, and

Qualifications

• Strong experience in COBOL development on IBM z/OS.
• Proficient with JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and batch processing.
• Experience in application maintenance, incident management, and production support.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/DevOps methods.
• Experience with source code management and deployment tooling.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support onboarding and customer data management processes.
• Perform impact assessments, root cause analysis, and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during project delivery and production support.
