Exxon Mobil Corporation in Brussels, Belgium, seeks an experienced coatings R&D leader to advance ProxximaTM thermoset technology. You will apply expertise in polymer science to demonstrate formulations, support EU customers, and collaborate with Baytown colleagues.

Office in Brussels with significant travel to TX and international trials. The role stresses technical mentorship, data-driven process optimization, and the growth of a high-performance coatings business across industrial segments.

Formación

• B.S. or graduate degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
• 10+ years of industrial experience formulating high-performance thermoset coatings.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support to EU customers using Proxxima™ polyolfin thermoset resins and catalysts to develop anti-corrosion, marine, atmospheric, and other industrial coatings.
• Educate customers on the advantages of coatings based on Proxxima™ polyolfefin thermoset products and hybrids with epoxy, urethane, aspartic urea, and siloxane, to optimize coating performance.
• Collaborate with technical and commercial colleagues to help grow the Proxxima™ business in this segment.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues at our Baytown, Texas facilities to fabricate smooth, defect-free coating samples needed to assess corrosion resistance and other performance parameters.
• Assist customers in process optimization and, where needed, provide guidance on equipment upgrades.
• Provide technical insights gleaned from the market to help guide new product and application developments.
• Provide market insights to inform and update business strategy.
• Co-author promotional brochures and technical data sheets highlighting performance benefits.
• Train and mentor external hires and future CADs that join and are less experienced.
