Job summary

Cronos Europa is seeking an experienced Cloud & Interoperability Architect for a long-term European project. You will design secure, scalable information systems, work with Java microservices, Angular front-ends and Oracle databases in a hybrid cloud setting, while applying DevSecOps practices.

You will lead architectural design, microservice development and API integration, contributing to documentation and compliance in a European institutional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline.
• 15+ years of IT experience with a Master's, or 17 years with a Bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years in application and cloud architecture projects.
• At least 10 years in application design and business process analysis.
• At least 5 years with Java and Hibernate.
• At least 5 years designing and integrating REST APIs.
• At least 5 years with CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Bamboo, GitLab CI).
• At least 5 years with Git/GitLab workflows, including branching/merge requests.
• At least 5 years with JPA, Spring Security and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience producing architecture/technical design docs.
• English proficiency at C1 or above.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and technical design of complex information systems.
• Design and develop components, microservices and reusable building blocks.
• Review architectures and assess integration with other information systems.
• Design secure, scalable interoperability solutions connecting systems across organisations.
• Implement architectures across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integration services.
• Contribute to web-front-end design and multi-tier database layers.
• Perform data analysis, modelling and physical database design.
• Develop database stored procedures and integrate with enterprise apps.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Produce architecture documents and technical reports.
• Participate in planning sessions and meetings with users.
• Support adoption of AI-assisted development tools.
