Tractebel in Belgium is seeking engineers to perform Licensing Studies within the Nuclear and Industrial Safety department. You will conduct advanced thermalhydraulic analyses for nuclear reactor systems using RELAP5, ATHLET, CATHARE, and related tools, and defend findings to customers and safety authorities.

A team of around 20 engineers collaborates closely on multiple assignments. Applicants should hold a Master in Engineering or Physics with at least 5 years in Design Base Accident analysis,

Qualifications

• Master in Engineering or Master in Physics.
• At least 5 years in analysing Design Base Accidents (Class III and Class IV).
• Familiar with international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of the Belgian nuclear domain.
• Able to communicate in English and French or Dutch.
• Interested to become a high-level expert in this topic.
• Knowledge of task automation through scripts (e.g., Python) is an asset

Responsabilités

• Perform Licensing Studies.
• Perform complex thermalhydraulic engineering analysis using industry-standard methods and tools (e.g. RELAP5, ATHLET, CATHARE).
• Defend your work to the Customer and Safety Authorities.
• Write technical reports about the studies performed.
• Work in a team of about 20 engineers.
