Job summary

CareerBee in Leuven is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a small, highly technical team and contribute to native camera software in C/C++ and Python. You will help develop tools, SDK components, and libraries for customer integration while ensuring stable performance on Windows and Linux.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software-development experience; ideally 7+ years with a stable track record.
• Strong hands-on experience in C/C++, ideally complemented by Python.
• Experience developing native software for both Windows and Linux.
• Clear communication skills and professional English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve native camera software in C/C++ and Python.
• Work on graphical software tools and SDK/library components for customer integration.
• Ensure reliable software behaviour across Windows and Linux environments.
• Investigate, debug and resolve complex issues across software, cameras and customer use cases.
• Improve maintainability, testability and performance in an existing product codebase.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, application engineers and technical-support teams.
• Contribute to releases, technical documentation and software-quality improvements.
