Volvo Group in Ghent, Belgium seeks a Business Controller to analyze financial information for the production site and support strategic decisions. You will provide insights to management and help translate financial targets into shop-floor actions.

The role requires a master’s in Finance, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English and Dutch. Proficiency in Excel is essential; Power BI and Power Apps are assets. A competitive salary and flexible working arrangements are offered.

What You Will Do

Do you want to be responsible for the analysis of financial and business related information for a specific business area? Would you like to support management discussions by sharing these financial insights? Are you able to bring first line managers up to speed with the latest financial figures? Above all, are you a born communicator who likes to spend time on the shop floor? Become our newest Business Controller and be part of our production site in Ghent. As a business controller, you provide thorough analyses and support with financial info to support strategic direction and business development.

Your Responsibilities

• The timely follow-up, analysis & internal reporting of financial results
• Efficiently and effectively support the strategic process (business plan, estimates...)
• Engage with the (line) organization by supplying and discussing relevant business information
• Translate financial business objectives to the shop floor (cost deployment)
• Support and represent finance in projects, including product & process related projects as well as overarching country initiatives
• Provide training & coaching at various levels with regard to the various cost KPIs

Who are you?

• You hold a master's degree in Finance and have proven experience in an accounting or controlling role. Experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
• You like working with numbers and are very analytical
• You are reliable, accurate, discreet, proactive, autonomous and customer-oriented
• You are a team player who builds relationships both inside and outside your own department
• You are a strong communicator, also in a group context
• You speak and write fluent English & Dutch
• You work easily with Excel, experience with/knowledge of Power BI and/or Power Apps is an asset.
