Job summary

Terumo Europe NV in Belgium seeks a Biostatistician & SAS Programmer to take statistical ownership of clinical studies, from design and sample-size to analysis and clear communication of results. You will combine biostatistical expertise with hands-on SAS programming, working with programmers, Data Management and Medical Affairs colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• 4+ years of biostatistics and clinical research experience.
• Strong SAS expertise with ability to program independently.
• Knowledge of R and/or Python is an advantage; Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead biostatistician for assigned clinical studies, handling design through analysis and dissemination.
• Provide statistical input into study design, endpoints, sample size calculations and SAPs.
• Develop, review and approve SAPs, TFL specifications and related docs.
• Stay hands-on with SAS: programming, data sets and outputs; debug macros as needed.
• Coordinate with SAS programmers, biostatisticians, data management and Clinical & Medical Affairs.
• Translate analyses into clear, meaningful conclusions for stakeholders.
• Contribute to data-management activities and data lifecycle traceability.
• Support standardization, automation, and AI-driven analytical approaches.
