Job summary

Engibex in Belgium seeks a Battery Systems Engineer to shape the next generation of EV batteries. You will translate product needs into practical battery requirements and work with engineering, purchasing and suppliers to deliver across the full lifecycle.

You will grow deeper in battery technology or embedded electronics and collaborate across disciplines in a dynamic environment. The role emphasizes ownership, planning and hands‑on problem solving with a strong Dutch/English language

Qualifications

Engineering background in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or automotive engineering.
Solid understanding of battery technology or embedded electronics in electrified vehicles.
Ability to take ownership, follow issues to resolution, and explain decisions across teams.

Responsibilities

Set the technical direction by assessing battery technologies and roadmapping.
Define battery requirements, interfaces and acceptance criteria.
Drive integration with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to ensure correct performance.
Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate components and resolve questions.
Support verification and release through test planning and result review.
Solve problems across the lifecycle, supporting production and service teams.
Build shared battery knowledge by documenting key decisions for colleagues.
