Job summary

KEYES is seeking a Backend Developer for an EU Institution in Brussels. You will develop backend services with Python and Django, build REST APIs, and integrate with front-end components while ensuring security and scalability.

You will work in an international team, apply CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based deployments, and write tests and documentation. Regular on-site presence near Brussels is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of professional experience or Master's with 5+ years.
• English knowledge at minimum B2 level, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications using Python and Django.
• Design and implement data storage with relational databases and SQL.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
• Apply authentication, authorization and security best practices.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in CI/CD pipelines.
• Design scalable software architectures and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate in an international team and contribute to debugging and optimization.
