Expleo Group in Brussels is seeking an experienced Python backend developer to build and optimize scalable applications in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust services and contribute to modernization efforts.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of software development, strong Python skills (FastAPI), experience with SQL databases, Docker, RabbitMQ, and CI/CD, plus English/Dutch/French language abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Strong Python development skills, preferably with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Pydantic and AsyncIO.
• Experience with SQL and databases such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and test automation frameworks such as Selenium.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments is a plus.
• Azure Cloud experience is a plus.
• Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required; German is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop, optimize, and maintain Python-based software applications.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with DevOps and data engineering teams for seamless integration and performance.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.
• Support refactoring and modernization of legacy applications.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to address service requests and ensure effective resolution
