Referment is partnering with a growing European technology company to hire an experienced Software Engineer with a strong backend and infrastructure background. You’ll join an established product and engineering team building a business-critical software platform used to manage complex data and operational workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial software engineering with a strong backend focus.
• Experience designing and building production APIs and data models.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and IaC practices.
• Ability to balance quality with speed of delivery within teams.

Responsabilités

• Designing and building robust backend services and APIs.
• Developing complex relational data models and transactional workflows.
• Building integrations with external and third-party systems.
• Developing reliable asynchronous processes, queues and data synchronisation.
• Working with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code.
• Building systems where reliability, accuracy and auditability are important.
• Taking ownership of technical projects from design through to production.
• Working closely with Product and other engineers to define solutions.
• Improving engineering practices, documentation and software architecture.
• Managing technical debt pragmatically while delivering new functionality.
• Contributing to technical and architectural decisions across the wider engineering team.
