Eniris is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to lead the design, build, and scaling of our backend infrastructure. You will ensure high-performance APIs, optimized databases, and scalable server architectures for real-time monitoring data.

You will work with PostgreSQL and other data stores, implement secure APIs, and optimize messaging and data processing. A strong alignment with green energy and the energy transition is valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of backend or software engineering experience.
• Excellent database experience; PostgreSQL is required.
• Experience with InfluxDB, Neo4j, and/or VictoriaMetrics is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of Kafka for processing large-scale, real-time data streams.
• Demonstrable experience with the horizontal scaling of server infrastructure.
• Experience in designing, documenting, and securing APIs, as well as implementing access control and permission management systems.
• Analytical, performance-focused, with an affinity for green energy and energy transition.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will take the lead in designing, building, and scaling our backend infrastructure. You will ensure that our APIs perform seamlessly, our databases are structured and optimized efficiently, and our server architecture scales horizontally to handle the rapidly growing volume of monitoring and control data.

Responsibilities

- Design and build robust, secure, and high-performance APIs for data transmission and integrations.

- Take responsibility for the structure and optimization of our databases, including transactional databases, time-series data, and complex data structures.

- Design and manage our backend architecture and ensure the successful horizontal scaling of our servers to handle large volumes of real-time data.

- Help set up and optimize messaging flows and real-time data processing.

- Work closely with our software development team to solve complex technical challenges and maximize security and performance.

Your profile

- You have a degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.

- You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar backend or software engineering role.

- You have excellent database experience. Knowledge of PostgreSQL is required. Experience with InfluxDB, Neo4j, and/or VictoriaMetrics is a strong plus.

- You have knowledge of Kafka for processing large-scale, real-time data streams.

- You have demonstrable experience with the horizontal scaling of server infrastructure.
