ING Belgium NV/SA is seeking a Platform Engineer to help shape the backend platform powering MADP capabilities. You will design and implement scalable services and contribute to an event-driven architecture with reusable platform components.

You will define APIs, model domain data, and support CI/CD, reliability, and multi-tenant operations. Collaboration with Architects, Data Stewards, and Product Owners will be essential to keep the platform observable and secure.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience with Java/Spring Boot and event-driven systems.
• Experience with event sourcing and CQRS patterns.
• Knowledge of API design and integration patterns.
• Data modelling and data lifecycle management expertise.
• Familiarity with cloud and distributed infrastructure.

Responsabilités

• Develop platform-level backend services and architecture supporting MADP capabilities.
• Contribute to event-driven architecture with event sourcing, CQRS, messaging; ensure reusability and scalability.
• Design robust, versioned APIs and integration patterns; ensure backward/forward compatibility.
• Model domain data and manage schema evolution with governance considerations.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and promotion flows; improve automation.
• Ensure production-ready, observable, high-availability, multi-tenant platform.
