Job summary

Elia Group is seeking a Senior Asset Manager for Underground High-Voltage Cables to monitor asset fleet condition, manage risks, and define maintenance strategies and budgets. You will leverage advanced monitoring technologies and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to shape long-term grid resilience.

You will guide Cable Asset Managers, share expertise, and support complex technical matters.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or electromechanics.
• Fluent in French and Dutch; strong English knowledge.
• Analytical, reporting and communication skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Independent, proactive, and customer-oriented with a pragmatic approach.

Responsibilities

• Investigate information for maintenance teams and incidents.
• Analyse incidents and develop maintenance policies.
• Assess diagnostic methods to improve asset reliability and life.
• Monitor and implement innovative underground cable monitoring (DTS/RTTR, DAS).
• Develop asset health index and operating limits.
• Prepare annual and multi-year maintenance budgets.
• Develop and deliver training.
• Provide technical advice across departments.
