Imec’s Compute System Architecture Unit in Leuven, Belgium, seeks a Principal AI Performance Architect to drive cross-layer codesign for next-gen high-performance computing systems.

You will model performance, develop workload characterisation, and collaborate across teams to guide HPC HW/SW codesign, system and SoC requirements, while improving performance, power and emissions in a dynamic, multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or STEM with ~8 years experience.
• Strong background in performance analysis, HPC optimization and AI for HPC is needed.
• Experience with distributed AI/ML apps is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Architect software-hardware codesign across multiple layers of the computing stack.
• Drive system modeling, performance analysis, and projections for future HPC architectures.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to capture AI in HPC characteristics and design space.
• Define and scope system/SoC requirements for future architectures and configurations.
• Model features that improve performance, power, and total cost of ownership.
