Job summary

Blue Harvest is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to steer the technical direction of enterprise AI initiatives. You will guide multiple teams across AI, data, application, and platform engineering, partnering with clients and stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled systems at scale.

You will shape architectural direction, prototype critical components, and mentor senior engineers. A track record in consulting and cloud-native platforms will be highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and production AI systems.
• Ability to lead senior engineers, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across teams.
• Commercial consulting experience with clients at multiple levels.
• Strong backend software engineering background (Java, Python) and modern architectures.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP valued) and Kubernetes.
• Fluency in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, observable systems in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision for enterprise‑level AI solutions across AI, data, app, and platform engineering.
• Design and oversee AI‑native architectures, including LLM‑driven systems and data platforms.
• Act as hands‑on technical authority: review designs, prototype components, unblock teams.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire senior engineers and tech leads, raising engineering maturity.
• Partner with clients at architect/executive levels to translate strategy into roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for AI‑driven differentiation and shape proposals and partnerships.
• Contribute to visibility through thought leadership, standards, and speaking engagements.
• Drive ownership, learning, and continuous improvement across teams and domains.
