adesso Belgium seeks a senior AI engineer to own end-to-end pipelines from client workshops to live, monitored agentic systems. You will lead the design of agentic workflows, deploy containerised applications on Azure/AWS/Snowflake, and ensure production-grade monitoring and ROI realization across industries.

You will work hands-on with client teams, balancing scalability, security, and maintainability while shaping enterprise adoption of GenAI and MLOps practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering or software development in complex enterprise environments.
• Real deployment experience on a cloud platform (Azure, AWS or Snowflake).
• Strong Python skills and practical experience with LLM frameworks like Pydantic AI or LangGraph.
• Solid grasp of GenAI fundamentals: prompt engineering, RAG, agent design patterns, evaluation, and observability.
• Experience with MLOps, vector databases, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation.

We're looking for a senior AI engineer who can own that end‑to‑end: from the first workshop with a client's leadership team to a live, monitored, agentic system that actually changes how a business runs.

Job Requirements

Your role

• You lead the design and technical validation of agentic workflows that automate complex, multi‑step business processes across industries.
• You work hands‑on, inside client project teams, owning end‑to‑end solution architecture on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake). You balance functional requirements against scalability, security, and long‑term maintainability — and you make the call when trade‑offs are needed.
• You build and deploy containerised agentic applications using modern frameworks (Pydantic AI, LangGraph, and others), with production‑grade monitoring, evaluation, and observability from day one.
• You connect AI agents to existing enterprise systems — data warehouses, APIs, third‑party platforms — following solid engineering practice, not shortcuts.
• You lead process discovery and optimisation workshops with senior stakeholders. You ask direct questions, challenge assumptions, and help them land on the agentic use cases worth prioritising.
• You turn business requirements into agentic process designs with real ROI — and you make that impact visible: KPIs, cost savings, operational gains, no spin.
• You own senior stakeholder relationships across engagements. When priorities clash between business and technology leadership, you say what needs to be said — clearly, and with the reasoning behind it.
• You build those relationships further over time, spotting where else adesso can genuinely help.
• You share what you build and learn internally, externally for example through publications, events, and client presentations — because good work is worth talking about.

Your profile

• A master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML engineering or software development, ideally in complex enterprise environments.
• Real deployment experience on a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or Snowflake) — networking, security, storage, monitoring, scaling. Not just theory, you've done it.
• Strong Python skills (or a similar language), and practical experience with LLM frameworks like Pydantic AI or LangGraph.
• A solid grip on GenAI fundamentals: prompt engineering, RAG, agent design patterns, evaluation, and observability.
• Experience with MLOps practices, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar), CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
• A knack for process mapping and optimisation — you can take a messy business problem and turn it into a technical solution that actually works.
• Solid project management and client relationship skills. You genuinely enjoy coaching junior colleagues and sharing what you know — that's not a chore for you, it's part of the job.
• You're comfortable in the room with senior stakeholders, holding your own with both business and technology leadership.
• Fluent in English, French and Dutch.
