adesso Belgium is looking for a leader to drive their Software Engineering team in Brussels. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with execution, leading projects and motivating customers. Responsibilities include developing cloud-native solutions using C# and Azure, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring team members. The candidate should have over 7 years of experience, be strong in presales activities, and be trilingual in Dutch, French, and English. Job Description

In this role, you will combine strategy with execution. You will help to put our proposition on the map, motivate customers, lead projects, and build your own Software Engineering team. You are both a visionary and a doer, from architecture and code reviews to implementation and deployment.

Your role

• You will take responsibility for building and expanding the software development team within adesso Belgium, support new customer acquisition, actively share knowledge within the team, and contribute to team growth.
• You introduce new ideas and best practices and use state‑of‑the‑art technology to develop robust and scalable solutions.
• You will take charge of presales activities, drawing on your expertise to win new projects. This includes crafting proposals, preparing demos and presentations, estimating project scopes, and convincingly showcasing the value of our solution.
• You work with sales to identify opportunities and translate customer challenges into a well‑founded technical solution and plan of action.
• You design and implement cloud‑native applications with C#, the .NET framework, and Azure Cloud Services, ensuring stable and secure integration with other systems.
• You set up modern CI/CD pipelines with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS), and ensure high quality through test automation and monitoring.
• You develop front‑end components in Blazor (or any JavaScript/TypeScript framework such as React, Angular or Vue) that connect to backend services and contribute to an optimal user experience.
• You present your solutions to customers and stakeholders, process feedback, and defend well‑founded technical choices.
• You work closely with developers, designers, and architects, take responsibility for the final delivery quality, and ensure the optimal balance between customer requirements and resources.
• As we grow, you will mentor and lead new team members. Your people skills will enable you to train junior consultants and coordinate their work. You'll foster a positive team environment, provide guidance, and eventually manage the Software team, helping each member develop their skills.
• You build a local community and take the lead in our internal and international AI community ‘new school of AI’ for Belgium; you generate knowledge, experience and best practices that you can share within this community and use in your business plan around this specific topic.

Required Skills & Knowledge

C#, .NET Framework (10+ and ASP.NET Core), Azure Cloud Services, including App Services, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Key Vault. Entity Framework Core, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS).

Your profile

• You have a strong passion for building high‑quality digital solutions and the ability to convince both customers and colleagues.
• You have an extensive experience in C# and the .NET Framework (10+ and ASP.NET Core) and with Azure Cloud Services, including App Services, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Key Vault.
• You have knowledge of modern software architectures (microservices, event‑driven, cloud‑native).
• Proficiency with CI/CD, version control (Git), test automation, and monitoring tools.
• You have led multiple large software implementations successfully. From planning and design to deployment, you have been responsible for delivering complex projects, possibly in a consulting or integrator environment.
• You possess experience in presales and customer‑facing engagements. You are comfortable running discovery sessions, preparing demos or prototypes, and you can convincingly articulate the business value of proposed solutions. RFPs, demo presentations, and crafting solution proposals are part of your skillset.
• You possess excellent people and communication skills. You can manage stakeholders at all levels and build trustful relationships with clients. Internally, you are a natural leader and mentor – capable of onboarding new team members, sharing knowledge, and guiding colleagues to success.
• You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, along with at least 7 years of relevant professional or project experience.
• Experience in a lead or senior role, with proven success in guiding teams and projects.
• You are trilingual in Dutch, French, and English.
