Miele Belux in Belgium is looking for an Accounting Officer to safeguard financial integrity within a multinational team. You will bridge financial processes, the people, and the administration, working with controllers, the shared services centre and external advisors to ensure accurate accounting.

You will support month-end/year-end closing, tax compliance and process optimization across Belgium/Luxembourg/Netherlands/France, collaborating with auditors and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, economics, or business administration.
• 8+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong foundation in closing periods, balance sheet ownership, statutory and tax reporting.
• Handles sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
• Communicates financial information clearly to colleagues, management, auditors and stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with ownership and continuous improvement mindset.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in multinational, multi-location matrix environments.
• Experience with SAP; proficient in Excel.
• Excellent English and Dutch/French communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities for the Belgian entity in collaboration with global shared services teams.
• Ensure accurate bookings, accruals, reconciliations, and allocations to cost and profit centers.
• Be a key point of contact for external and internal audit matters.
• Support tax and legal compliance processes, including VAT and other declarations.
• Evaluate internal systems, controls and risks; provide improvement recommendations.
• Contribute to Belgian and global process optimization projects.
• Support FP&A with financial transparency, reporting and follow-up.
