Job summary

Pelsis Group, a global manufacturer and supplier of pest control, garden care and environmental solutions, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Bornem. You will maintain accurate financial records for the Belgian business and deliver timely month-end and year-end accounting while supporting strong financial controls.

You’ll handle general ledger accounting, balance-sheet reconciliations, VAT reporting and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial accounting and general ledger activities.
• Knowledge of Belgian VAT requirements and reporting.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ability to prepare and review balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with AP/AR processes and ledger feeds.
• Experience supporting internal/external audits.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP/system experience.
• Fluent Dutch and good English; ability to communicate with non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for the Belgian business, including journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Deliver timely month-end and year-end close and provide supporting schedules.
• Strengthen balance-sheet integrity with reconciliations and analysis.
• Support VAT returns and local statutory reporting.
• Guide AP/AR colleagues and resolve finance queries.
• Provide reliable reporting for management and Group reporting.
• Assist audits and address control weaknesses and findings.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and standardise controls.
