Salve.Lab is seeking a Security Solutions Designer to develop innovative electronic security solutions for critical infrastructure, commercial buildings and smart environments. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in security technologies (CCTV, access control, intrusion).
• Experience as Solution Designer, Project Manager or similar is preferred.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills to translate requirements.
• Ability to prepare technical-commercial proposals and cost estimates.
• Excellent organisational and independent work skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch native/bilingual; French advantageous.

We are looking for a technically skilled and commercially minded Security Solutions Designer to develop innovative electronic security solutions for critical infrastructure, commercial buildings and smart environments. This position combines technical solution design, customer consultation, cost estimation and presales activities. You will translate complex security requirements into practical, integrated solutions, working closely with customers, account managers and internal technical teams. The solutions portfolio includes CCTV, access control, intrusion and perimeter detection, AI-enabled security technologies, integrated software platforms and cybersecurity-related solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive, integrated electronic security solutions tailored to customer requirements and technical specifications.
• Develop innovative security concepts covering CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and related technologies.
• Act as a technical adviser to customers, providing expert guidance and explaining proposed solutions.
• Analyse customer needs through consultations, technical discussions and tender documentation.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including detailed cost calculations using standard quotation tools.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear, competitive and commercially viable solutions.
• Deliver presentations, product demonstrations and technical workshops to customers and engineering consultancies.
• Collaborate closely with account managers to support customer meetings, proposals and business development activities.
• Communicate solution concepts and technical specifications effectively to internal stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of structured technical-commercial documentation for tenders and quotations.
• Apply analytical and conceptual thinking to identify optimal security architectures and integration opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal departments to ensure successful solution development.
• Travel to customer sites across Belgium, primarily within Flanders and Brussels.

Requirements

• Experience working in a technical or technology-driven environment, ideally involving electronic security solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience in security technologies such as CCTV, access control or intrusion detection is a strong advantage.
• Previous experience as a Solution Designer, Project Manager, Product Manager or in a technical-commercial position is highly desirable.
• Candidates with solution design experience in other technology sectors and a strong interest in security systems are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Experience preparing technical-commercial proposals, structured documentation and cost estimations.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into innovative, competitive technical solutions.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage projects and responsibilities independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build customer relationships.
• Confident presentation skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Dutch at native or bilingual level is essential.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• French at a professional level is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel within Belgium, primarily across Flanders and Brussels
