Amaris Consulting is seeking a scientist to join the Advanced Material Characterization and Investigations group, driving MRI-based analysis of pharmaceutical materials and leading global analytical investigations for commercial products and DPDS.

You will develop and validate MRI methods, establish workflows, and translate imaging into formulation and process insights while collaborating across formulation, analytical, and material science teams. A PhD is a plus and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with pre-clinical MRI instrumentation.
• Experience with interpreting imaging and spectroscopic data.
• Experience with solid-state NMR is a plus.
• Academic background: Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, or related field; Ph.D. is a plus.
• English fluent and strong scientific curiosity with global collaboration ability.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic solid-state NMR experiments as needed.

You will join the Advanced Material Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) group within Amaris Consulting, contributing to advanced analytical characterization of pharmaceutical products and leading global analytical investigations for the commercial product portfolio and for the Discovery, Product Development & Supply (DPDS) organization.

Your missions

• Develop and validate MRI methods for pharmaceutical materials, formulations, and dosage forms
• Establish MRI workflows complementary to CT scan analysis for pharmaceutical applications such as water ingress, hydration kinetics, coating and capsule performance, device functionality, and sedimentation studies
• Translate imaging data into actionable formulation and process insights for project teams
• Support cross-functional studies involving formulation development, analytical development, material science, and product performance assessment
• Build internal expertise, standard operating procedures, and fit-for-purpose data interpretation practices for MRI-based characterization
• Perform basic solid-state NMR experiments as needed
• Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with all applicable environmental, health, regulatory requirements, GMP and safety regulations

Your profile

• Experience with pre-clinical MRI instrumentation
• Experience with interpreting imaging and spectroscopic data
• Experience with solid-state NMR is a plus
• Academic background: Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, or related field; Ph.D. is a plus
• English fluent
