We are seeking a (Senior) Scientist to support the early development of therapeutic antibodies. The successful candidate will combine expertise in antibody and protein production, purification, analytical characterization, antibody engineering, sequence optimization, and developability assessment with strong project-management and organizational skills.
You will bring structure and planning to multidisciplinary late preclinical/early CMC activities, coordinating work from construct and sequence design through expression, purification, QC, and developability evaluation . You will collaborate closely with antibody engineering, discovery, analytical, computational, and project teams to identify risks, prioritize experiments, and support molecule-selection decisions.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturability of antibodies, hands-on experience with recombinant protein production and purification, and practical knowledge of developability risks such as aggregation, viscosity, degradation, stability, solubility, and nonspecific interactions. Experience with antibody sequence optimization, sequence liabilities, protein structure understanding and multiple antibody formats is highly desirable .
We are looking for a structured, proactive, and scientifically rigorous colleague who can work independently, coordinate effectively across teams, and translate complex data into clear recommendations. For Senior Scientist-level candidates, the role will include greater ownership of program strategy, technical leadership, mentoring, and external collaboration.
The job is based in our facility in Ghent, Belgium, and requires on-site presence at least 4 per week.
The annual base salary hiring range for this position is €68,000.00 - €93,500.00 EUR
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentives program.
