Johnson & Johnson is seeking a scientist to develop and validate MRI methods for pharmaceutical materials and dosage forms. You will work with internal and external experts to advance drug product development and analytical investigations, including solid-state NMR in some projects.
The role requires a master’s degree in physics or chemistry with hands-on pre-clinical MRI experience and strong communication skills in English.
Imagine your next project joining an international and diverse team of scientists performing advanced analytical characterization of pharmaceutical products and leading global analytical investigations to find innovative solutions for drug product development.
The Scientist will join the Advanced Material Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) group within AD. AMCI is an international and diverse team of scientists performing advanced analytical characterization of pharmaceutical products and leading global analytical investigations for the commercial product portfolio and for the Discovery, Product Development & Supply (DPDS) organization of Janssen R&D.
The Advanced Molecular Analysis (AMA) team of AMCI is a group of analytical centers of excellence in structure elucidation (by high-resolution Mass Spectrometry, solution, solid-state NMR, and MRI), organic trace analysis, excipient & polymer characterization, and oligonucleotide & peptide analytics. Our labs are equipped with state-of-the-art analytical equipment, including a pre-clinical MRI, 600 MHz standard-bore NMR, and 500MHz wide-bore systems (also equipped with pre-clinical MRI options).
We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic, highly motivated Scientist to join our team! For this laboratory-based position you will work together with internal and external specialists in drug product development and analytical development teams to find innovative solutions for the development of MRI methods for active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), drug product in complex formulations and device functionality for drug-delivery systems. To meet the needs of a highly dynamic drug product environment, it would be advantageous if candidates had basic knowledge of solid-state NMR in addition to NMRI expertise.
This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for 12 months.
