Energize Group seeks an experienced SAP Belgian Payroll Consultant for a freelance engagement in Belgium. You will own Belgian payroll requirements and deliver an SAP Payroll solution with hands-on configuration and ABAP support where needed.
Join an active programme moving through waves of work, collaborating with HR and development teams, translating business needs into technical stories, and ensuring timely delivery within an international payroll transformation.
One of our clients is currently delivering a Belgian payroll transformation, focused on bringing more payroll calculations directly into SAP.
Currently, a number of gross-pay calculations and premiums are handled manually by payroll teams or calculated using data/reports from other systems before being uploaded into payroll. The objective is to bring more of this calculation logic directly into the SAP Payroll environment and payroll rule engine.
The programme is being delivered across three major waves. It is currently in Wave 2, primarily covering monthly premiums, with Wave 3 focusing on yearly premiums.
The project is already underway and working to challenging timelines, with requirements currently at different stages across refinement, development and testing. They therefore need an experienced consultant who can join an active programme and become productive quickly.
The existing team already has strong SAP, HR and development expertise. The specific gap is somebody who combines deep Belgian payroll knowledge with hands‑on SAP Payroll implementation capability.
You will take ownership of Belgian-specific payroll requirements and help take them from initial business requirement through to a working SAP solution.
Monthly premiums.
Annual/yearly premiums.
Seniority-related premiums.
Other Belgian-specific gross‑pay calculations.
This is not purely a functional/business analyst position. The client needs somebody who understands Belgian payroll at a detailed level but is also sufficiently hands‑on technically to deliver the resulting SAP solution.
Hybrid: Ideally some presence onsite, but no rigid structure
Start: ASAP
Utilization: Minimum 50%, realistically between 60-80%
Duration: Initial project through end of 2026, with potential extension into 2027
Language: English required; Dutch and/or French advantageous
