Capital H Staffing and Advisory Solutions is seeking a Project Manager for their Belgian operations. The successful candidate will manage a variety of international and complex automation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience.

You will need to communicate fluently in Dutch, English, French, and/or German, as well as be willing to travel approximately 20% of the time for project coordination. An attractive salary and benefits package is offered.

They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible from A to Z for managing, organizing, and executing a wide range of (inter)national and complex automation projects on‑site, in accordance with the company’s project methodology. Your focus will be on delivering robotic automation solutions, ensuring each project is completed successfully, on time, and to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• You have a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• You have at least 10 years of experience.
• You have knowledge about state of the art systems and technics.
• You are fluent in Dutch, English, French and/or German.
• You are willing to travel abroad (20% of the time) to coordinate these projects.
• You are communicative and hands‑on.
• You can work independently.
• You should be able to work in the European Union without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Work preparation & project follow-up

• You are the SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for the assigned projects, towards the client, the sub‑contractors and our team.
• Assessing the operational, technical and financial feasibility of the project and anticipate if applicable.
• Being present at kick‑off meetings, technical/site meetings, commercial meetings and planning meetings as well as site inspections, …with the client or with internal departments if needed.
• Ensuring that all engineering and preparatory activities are undertaken.
• You are responsible for visiting the site, setting up a detailed project planning and checking all the requirements for the mobilisation of equipment and resources.

Supervision of operational activities

• Willingness to travel to (inter)national sites.
• Monitoring the progress and quality of the project, identifying deviations and correcting (or initiating corrections) where necessary.
• Managing operational staff and subcontractors regarding the project execution. Supervises the safe execution of the project on‑site and observes the QSHE regulations and administration.
• Supervising the assembly methods and checking the quality of the delivered materials.

Contract management

• Claim management – Identifying contract variations and/or delay notifications.
• Ensuring variations are communicated to and negotiated with the client according to the contractual requirements.

Financial follow up & administration

• Responsible for budget follow up and daily cost management, in order to draft periodical progress reports and initiates invoicing.
• Responsible for checking and approving all incoming project related invoices.
• Looks for commercial opportunities, additional billable services or other ways to improve the financial revenue of the assigned projects.

Travel and Working arrangements

• The ideal candidate must have EU work authorisation.
• This position requires onsite presence in Lokeren (Flanders), with the option to work up to two days from our Berchem/Antwerp satellite office and one day remotely.
• Approximately 20% of your time will involve travel to project sites.
