ABB Robotics is seeking an experienced PLC/Automation Engineer to lead turnkey and customized automation projects. Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electromechanics, electronics or automation required.
• Strong mechanical reasoning to visualize work output.
• Willing to follow PLC Engineering training program in ABB Training Academy with on-the-job coaching.
• Solution-focused, pragmatic and hands-on mindset.
• Detail oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willing to work on-site in Belgium or abroad.
• Fluent in Dutch or French with good English knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Define the PLC portion of the system and work out the functional design.
• Perform technical analysis to design PLC schematics, grafcets, flowcharts, interface specifications and communication diagrams.
• Specify automation components (PLC hardware, sensors, actuators) and verify feasibility with providers.
• Develop object-oriented code (Siemens S7, TIA Portal or Rockwell RSLogix).
• Define and write test plans and perform in-house simulation, emulation and testing.
• Execute on-site commissioning in collaboration with commissioning engineers.
• Validate test plans and contribute to integration testing.
• Write user documentation.
