Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk, Belgium seeks a Process & Automation Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize advanced production processes and digital manufacturing applications. You will lead automation projects from concept to delivery, while coordinating PLC/HMI programming and integrating robotics like KUKA/FANUC.

With a Master in Engineering and strong knowledge of Industry 4.0, you will work in a hybrid setup, driving dashboards and SCADA solutions, and exploring AMRs/AGVs to boost

Qualifications

• Master degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (Electromechanics, Automation) or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of production processes and industrial automation, analytical problem‑solving mindset.
• Experience with PLC systems and HMIs; Siemens/Beckhoff knowledge is a plus.
• Hands‑on familiarity with robotics (KUKA, FANUC) and SCADA/industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Profinet).
• Strong project management to manage scope, timing, budgets.
• Affinity with machine connectivity and Industry 4.0 data tools (SQL/Power BI).
• Professional Dutch and English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Lead automation projects from concept to completion using Atlas Copco methodologies.
• Define and install new production assets, manage timelines, budgets and investment files.
• Support PLC‑controlled production systems; coordinate PLC/HMI programming adjustments.
• Integrate robotic applications such as KUKA or FANUC into production.
• Drive machine connectivity and SCADA solutions; build dashboards to track performance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies like AMRs/AGVs and humanoid robotics.
• Report to the team leader and work in a hybrid model at Wilrijk facility.
