ABB Robotics seeks an Electrical Engineer in Belgium to own turnkey electrical design, wiring concepts and control system integration. You will develop architecture, draft layouts, size cables, and specify panels, working with PLCs and safety controllers with a high degree of autonomy.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions while ensuring compliance with European machinery directives and standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Automation, or equivalent experience.
• Willing to work on-site in Belgium and abroad when required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and EPLAN is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organized working style.
• Knowledge of safety standards and electrical safety architecture.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel/Word.
• Dutch and English fluency.
• Holder of a Category B driving license.

Responsabilités

• Enrich controller IO lists with detailed electrical information such as power, addressing, interfaces.
• Develop electrical architecture by local junction boxes and terminal boxes.
• Draft electrical layouts using AutoCAD.
• Define cable routing and perform Caneco BT power calculations.
• Design electrical panels and prepare RFQs for manufacturing.
• Coordinate orders for electrical materials and ensure safety compliance.
• Program safety controllers (SICK FlexiSoft, Pilz PNOZmulti) and validate tests.
• Support cabling, installation and testing on-site.
