Bogaerts Greenhouse Logistics in Hoogstraten zoekt een Robotic Engineer om hoogwaardige softwareoplossingen te ontwikkelen. In deze rol ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van robotsoftware met ROS2, het integreren van navigatiestacks, en het werken met machine learning. Met 3 tot 5 jaar ervaring en een sterke affiniteit met autonome navigatie, bewegingscontrole en industriële automatisering, ben je in staat om zowel zelfstandig te werken als in teamverband en heb je een geldig EU-rijbewijs.

Qualifications

• Minimaal 3 tot 5 jaar ervaring in robotica en autonome navigatie.
• Diepgaande kennis van ROS2, C, C++ en Python.
• Comfortabel werken in echte veldomgevingen en met hardware.

Responsabilités

• Ontwikkelen, onderhouden en verbeteren van robotsoftware.
• Integreren en optimaliseren van navigatiesystemen.
• Participeren in on-site testen en klantimplementaties.

Werken bij Bogaerts als Robotic engineer

This is what your job will look like

As a robotic engineer, you will be part of our driven engineering team, where you will work together to develop high-quality software solutions. Your tasks will include:

• Develop, maintain, and improve robotic software using ROS2
• Integrate and optimize navigation stacks, SLAM, and sensor fusion
• Build perception systems using Computer Vision (e.g., object detection, visual localization)
• Design and deploy Machine Learning models for robotic perception and autonomous decision-making
• Work hands‑on with real robots: system integration, deployment, tuning, and performance optimization
• Contribute to robot control, localization, and path planning
• Participate in on‑site testing and customer deployments across Belgium and the Netherlands

That's why this job suits you:

• You are hands‑on and have at least 3 to 5 years of experience and strong affinity with autonomous navigation, robotics, machine control or industrial automation
• You have a thorough knowledge of ROS2, C, C++, and Python
• Solid knowledge in majority of the following fields:
• Sensor fusion for state estimation and localization
• Control systems for robotics
• Path planning & Navigation (SLAM)
• Computer Vision and Machine Learning applied to robotics
• You are comfortable working with hardware and in real‑world field environments and experience bringing systems from prototype to reliable field deployment
• You are able to work independently and take responsibility for your work
• You have a valid EU driving license (for site testing and deployments)
• You can communicate fluently in English
