Job summary

Ghent University invites applications for an Assistant in the Information Technology department. Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in one of the specified fields or equivalent as recognized by the committee.
• Dutch language proficiency required to deliver academic education at Bachelor level.
• Programming skills in C++, C#, Java and Python are a plus for the department.
• Strong teaching and communication abilities and research experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct academic research toward a doctoral dissertation in machine learning, focusing on energy-efficient foundation models.
• Assist in teaching activities in bachelor-level computer science courses within Engineering Technology.
• Support internal and external services of the department.
