Dataroots, a Talan company, seeks a hands-on Business Unit Lead to grow a 40+ person data, analytics and AI team from the ground up. You will set the vision, own P&L and drive delivery excellence across engagements, while shaping strategy with BizDev to win new and existing services.

Based in Leuven with flexible remote options and Ghent office, you’ll report to the Head of Operations and build a culture where people grow, learn, and want to stay. Fluency in Dutch/French and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team and owning a P&L; consulting or professional services background preferred.
• 8+ years overall, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong grounding in data, analytics, or AI.
• Fluent in Dutch/French and English.

Responsabilités

• Set the strategic direction for your competence in data, analytics, and AI; lead the unit's positioning.
• Lead and scale a 40+ person team; coach and develop a thriving culture.
• Own the unit's revenue and margin (P&L) and budget management.
• Oversee engagements end to end and contribute hands-on when needed.
• Partner with BizDev to qualify leads, shape strategy, and grow key accounts; participate in presales.
