Dataroots, part of the Talan Group, seeks a hands-on Business Unit Lead to build and lead a 40+ person data, analytics, and AI team from Leuven with flexible remote options. You will set the vision, own the unit's P&L, recruit top talent, and drive growth across existing and new services, collaborating with BizDev and presales to turn opportunities into winning proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team and owning a P&L; consulting or professional services background preferred
• 8+ years overall, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong grounding in data, analytics, or AI: enough to earn credibility, not necessarily deep technical mastery
• Someone who can hold a room and hold a vision, commercially sharp and people-first
• Fluent in Dutch/French and English

Responsabilités

• Set the strategic direction for the unit in data, analytics, and AI.
• Lead and grow a 40+ person team.
• Own unit revenue and margin; manage budgets.
• Oversee engagements end to end; stay hands-on when needed.
• Partner with BizDev to qualify leads, shape proposals, and grow key accounts; participate in presales.
